Daycare

Well, our day started out great until about 11:20 this morning when Cayden's daycare called and told us that he no longer had a spot to start on Monday. I had just talked to them yesterday and they said that we did but when she called today she said that there was a family ahead of him on the waiting list that had already paid for the first full week so they had to give his spot to them. I was highly upset but tried to stay friendly over the phone but didn't really get much information. So when Allen got home we went up there to talk to them in person to get more details on what happened. Needless to say we were not very happy when we left there and were told there was nothing they could do except that they would call us when or if they had a spot open up by the 30th which is my first day of classes.

When we left there we went back to one of the daycares that I really liked to see if possibly they would have an opening anytime soon. At first she said that classroom was full and my heart sank then she said well let me just double check. She went and looked and there was a baby leaving that class next Friday! So she said that he could start full time on the 23rd of this month! I was so excited, then she said that if we wanted to ease him into it that we could start him next Wednesday because they have a part-time baby that only comes on Mon. and Tues., so I said yes that would be perfect. I went back to the car and Allen knew I had good news because of my face. (He had stayed in the car with Cayden because he was asleep) We went to eat at Chili's and talked about it. Before we got our food I filled out the application and we went by the doctor after that to get Cayden's shot records. After that we went back to the daycare and turned everything in and Allen got to look at the room he would be in. (I had already seen it because I had looked at this daycare back in June) Cayden also got to play while we were talking and he loved it! She couldn't believe that only me or family has ever kept him because he was so friendly and when one of the teachers picked him up he just played with her.

We are VERY excited at how things worked out and all I can say is that things happen for a reason and maybe God knew that he needed to be at this daycare instead of the other one. :)

  1. Beth, I agree!! Maybe that all worked out because God knew Cayden would like the other one better and that he would be better taken care of!! : )
